Meet Your 2007-2008 Board Members
Chrisitne Schmitz-President  Christine has been a Family Child Care
Professional in Inver Grove Heights since 1999.  She has 2 fantastic boys and
a great husband that supports all that she is involved with. Christine is also
the Central Area Coordinator for DCFCCA and  a mentor for the DCFCCA
Mentor Program. She has been on the Grant Review Committee through
Resources for Child Care (RCC) since 2005 and has a B.S. in Child
Psychology.  Christine loves her volunteer work and most of all; is dedicated
to the children in her care!  

Dady Pigeon-Vice President  Dady has been a professional child care
provider for 17 years in Burnsville.  She has an associate degree in Early
Childhood and will begin training fellow providers in and around Dakota
County in the spring.  She has served on the DCFCCA board for the past
three years as Vice President, and is now on the POY committee, a Mentor
and has served in the past on the PTO board as President.

Lisa Milne-Secretary  Lisa has been a Professional Family Child Care Provider
for nearly two years. Before she began doing in home child care she was a
nanny for nearly two years and she had also worked in child care centers as a
teacher.  Lisa went to Rasmussen College in Eagan and graduated with an
AAS Degree in Business Management with an Emphasis in Early Childhood
Education.

Renee’ Kulhanek-Treasurer  Renee' is a professional child care provider
from Rosemount.  She has been doing child care for 18 years.  She has been
the treasurer for DCFCCA for the past 5 years.  Renee' has also volunteered
and served on boards for Girl Scouts, Rosemount Irish Football Boosters and
Rosemount Irishette Boosters.

Michelle Cox-Training Coordinator    

Jean Mathison-Area Coordinator Facilitator  Jean is a child care provider
in Mendota Heights and has been in the child care business for 10 years. She
has four daughters ranging in age from 3 to 11 years old.  She has also been
volunteering as one of the north area coordinators for four years. Jean has
found that working as a volunteer for the association has really helped her
get to know her fellow providers and lend them a helping hand when needed.

Hannah Huberty-Membership Coordinator  Hannah has been a licensed
group family child care provider for 21 years.  She has been active with  
DCFCCA since 1996 holding board positions such as Area Coordinator
Facilitator and President.  Hannah also chairs the spring conference hosted by
DCFCCA.  Hannah feels the Association helps her to grow to her full potential
as a child care provider, and assists her in reaching her professional goals.

Terri Lee-Public Relations Coordinator   Terri is a child care provider in
Apple Valley and has been in the child care business for four years.  Her prior
experience is as a special education teacher and a human resource manager.  
She is has been married to her husband Terry for nine years and they have
three sons ranging in age from 19 months to 6 years.  They are expecting
their fourth child, a baby girl, this fall.  Terri is very committed to the
association and joined shortly after opening her business in Dakota County.  
She began her involvement as the hostess for Provider’s Night Out, which
she continues to enjoy doing each month.  Her position on the board
involves maintaining the association web site, chairing the committee for the
bi-monthly newsletter, Caring Connection, and being the official
spokesperson for all media relations.

Beth Beltz-MLFCCA Representative  Beth has been a licensed group family
child care provider since 1996. She lives in Inver Grove Heights. with her
husband who is very involved with her business. She has 2 adult sons. She
became a member of the association shortly after licensing and is the toy co-
op coordinator for her area.
