| Meet Your 2009-2010 Executive Board Members |
Chrisitne Schmitz-President Christine has been a Family Child Care
Professional in Inver Grove Heights since 1999. She has 2 fantastic boys and
a great husband that supports all that she is involved with. Christine is also
the Central Area Coordinator for DCFCCA and a mentor for the DCFCCA
Mentor Program. She has been on the Grant Review Committee through
Resources for Child Care (RCC) since 2005 and has a B.S. in Child
Psychology. Christine loves her volunteer work and most of all; is dedicated
to the children in her care!
Renee’ Kulhanek-Treasurer Renee' is a professional child care provider
from Rosemount. She has been doing child care for 18 years. She has been
the treasurer for DCFCCA for the past 5 years. Renee' has also volunteered
and served on boards for Girl Scouts, Rosemount Irish Football Boosters and
Rosemount Irishette Boosters.
Michelle Cox-Training Coordinator
Michelle has been a child care provider in Eagan since 1992. Michelle was a
secondary education teacher prior to her child care career. She has been
married to Jon for 28 years and has two children; Addison who is 20 and
Courtney who is 17. Michelle was a mentee in the DCFCCA mentorship
program in her first year as a licensed provider. Her relationships with the
providers that she met led her into board positions with DCFCCA.
Jean Mathison-Secretary Jean is a child care provider in Mendota Heights
and has been in the child care business for 10 years. She has four daughters
ranging in age from 3 to 11 years old. She has also been volunteering as
one of the north area coordinators for four years. Jean has found that
working as a volunteer for the association has really helped her get to know
her fellow providers and lend them a helping hand when needed.
Hannah Huberty-Membership Coordinator Hannah has been a licensed
group family child care provider for 21 years. She has been active with
DCFCCA since 1996 holding board positions such as Area Coordinator
Facilitator and President. Hannah also chairs the spring conference hosted by
DCFCCA. Hannah feels the Association helps her to grow to her full potential
as a child care provider, and assists her in reaching her professional goals.
Beth Beltz-Fund Raiser Coordiantor Beth has been a licensed group
family child care provider since 1996. She lives in Inver Grove Heights. with
her husband who is very involved with her business. She has 2 adult sons.
She became a member of the association shortly after licensing and is the toy
co-op coordinator for her area.
Pat Goor-Public Relations Coordinator Pat has been a family child care
provider for 21 years, raised two daughters, who are currently attending
college. She has been married to Brian for 27 years and has lived in Eagan
for 28 years. Prior to family child care, Pat was a legal assistant at a law firm
in Bloomington. She was active in the Association from 1990-2000 in a
variety of positions. With her daughters out of the house, Pat has found
some free time to learn the publishing program to create the bi-monthly
newsletter, as well as reconnect with other child care providers. She looks
forward to learning even more about this position, and advocating for the
members of this association in board decisions.
Jean Dommer- Area Coordinator Facilitator
Deb Nickell- Mentor Facilitator
Professional in Inver Grove Heights since 1999. She has 2 fantastic boys and
