If you have a little free time and would like to give back, consider taking on a position with Dakota County Family Child Care Association. We are professional family child care providers, just like you, who work together for our child care profession. We encourage you to apply for one of the making this decision. Training is provided. To be eligible for nomination and elected office, a member must have been a legally licensed provider in Dakota County, as well as a Tier I member (licensed provider) of DCFCCA for the previous year. Candidates running for a board position cannot have any pending negative actions or have had any substantiated complaints within the last five years. All positions are two-year terms, beginning June 1, 2019 and ending May 31, 2021. Executive Board Positions for 2019 are as follows: President: Do you like working with others? Do you have good organizational skills? Are you ready to lead? Duties include carrying out the objectives and purposes of the Association, subject to the advice of the Executive Board. Appoint all committee chair, preside at all Executive Board meetings, and be an ex-officio member of all committees, except the nominating committee. Website Coordinator: Do you enjoy working on a computer? Are you interested in learning more about Yahoo Sitebuilder used to maintain DCFCCA's website? Duties include creating forms and posting online training registration and current events, updating the Provider Directory and maintain DCFCCA email accounts and contact information. Duties include choosing training topics and hiring trainers, as well as booking locations for the area meetings. Contact Lisa at training@dcfcca.org for more information. Membership Coordinator: Are you familiar with Excel program or MS Word, or willing to learn? Are you organized and accurate? Duties include maintain an updated membership list and process all memberships in a timely manner. Distribute membership to Executive Board members.
