Gain insight into what providers need to compile and prepare for tax completion. Analyze the categories and requirements for tax purposes, create steps to organize their bookkeeping system, and formulate a routine to use throughout the year to make the next tax season run more smoothly.

SNOW MUCH LEARNING: OUTDOOR PLAY THE WINTER WAY

Winter is not a barrier it is a bonus. Make winter play a powerhouse for whole-child development, no fancy equipment required. Implement practical routines, developmentally rich winter activities, and apply your existing knowledge and experience that support learning through play. This winter learning lab features global winter play and play opportunities that you can incorporate into your program practices to promote interaction and child-led exploration of their surroundings.

KEYS TO LITERACY

Explore effective means to unlock the literacy code. Examine activities that develop auditory and visual attention. Use intentional movement to develop coordination and prepare for writing and reading. Learn how to build vocabulary. Understand the function and mechanics o literacy from a developmentally appropriate and brain-based perspective. This ONLINE course is built on the Montessori multi-sensory method to support development of language skills.

DE-ESCALATION TECHNIQUES FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD AND BEYOND
Presented by: Jamie Waldvogel

Learn how to capitalize on the power of your behavior when teaching behavior regulation. Use silent positive guidance strategies to teach listening the first time and other skills designed to prevent a child’s challenging behaviors. Visually scan and monitor the early childhood environment to anticipate and redirect potential misbehavior using silent strategies.

During this online course participants will discuss the role of imaginative play in early childhood and how it promotes children’s executive function. We will also explore strategies to encourage more imaginative play throughout a child’s day through play.
